Where Psychology Meets Music, Insight, and Heart
Hi, I’m Adam Parker, a school psychologist, university instructor, and lifelong musician with over 13 years of experience helping children, teens, and adults better understand themselves. I’ve worked in elementary, middle, and high schools, served on a district crisis team, but my favorite role might just be blending music and psychology to make social-emotional learning engaging and memorable.
For over 20 years, I’ve been playing guitar and drums, and I love using music to bring lessons to life. Whether I’m working 1-on-1 with a student or leading a classroom of 30, I’ve found that music helps us relax, connect, and truly remember what we’re learning. A good song can calm our nerves, invite a smile, and give our feelings a safe place to show up.
Through this site, I share the work I do both in my private practice and in the world of education, including:
Social-emotional lessons made musical
Helpful blogs and videos for parents and teachers
Psychoeducational assessments for ADHD, autism, learning differences, and more
With over 8 years in private practice and a deep background in schools and higher education, my goal is to support growth with tools that are real and approachable
I’m glad you’re here. I hope you enjoy the resources, and maybe even sing along with me.
